Xiangqi
About Xiangqi
Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.
How to Play
Shift your pieces according to their unique movement rules. The King can only move one square at a time within the nine-pointed star. Mandarins are limited to diagonal moves within the palace. Ministers move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot jump over pieces. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, but can be blocked by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, acting as powerful attackers. Catapults move like chariots but must require a screen piece to capture exactly one piece. Soldiers move forward one square and capture diagonally after crossing the river. Capture the opponent's general to win the game. Plan your moves carefully to outmaneuver the computer opponent.
